Run, run, run. Rose thought they would never stop running, that they would never stop holding each other’s hands and dashing through the universe. The Doctor thought that he still had years with Rose left, that sure she may wither and die but that wouldn’t be for ages to come. For now, he could concentrate on the feel of her hand in his and the pumping of their hearts as they ran away from captors and bad guys. Sometimes, they even just ran just to run. Because they loved running and they thought they would never stop. But then came the Army of Ghosts. Then came Torchwood and the war.

And then, the only running the Doctor and Rose ever did together again was in their dreams.
